Made up of four layers, this simple design has hidden depths. I played around with the transparency of the handmade paper to create subtle layers that create an intriguing simple background for the beautiful Tern silhouette. Real dried leaves are encased within this pale pink delicate paper, which adds another focal point to the design. This piece would look great on its own nestled in a special nook or small bit of wall space, it would also compliment larger pieces of work which tie in with the colour palette.

This papercut was created by my fair hand in the studio and is one of a collection made in the summer of 2024. The piece comes with a distinctive circular aperture mount, creating a unique frame for this simple nature-inspired artwork.
