I love the relationship between different apertures created by cutting and arranging circles. The subtlety of the colours in this papercut piece gives it a restful quality and the Gull just passing through makes me think of journeying and the distances some birds travel.

Made by me in the studio from handmade and handpainted papers, this piece is part of a larger collection made in the summer of 2024

The piece comes with a distinctive circular aperture mount, creating a unique frame for this simple nature-inspired artwork.
