Simplicity personified, just an elegant fern leaf cut from a deep blue card with added surface detail from a soft coloured pencil. A simple burnt orange circle cut from handmade paper sits behind the leaf on a background of heavyweight watercolour paper.

This papercut was created by my fair hand in the studio and is one of a collection made in the summer of 2024. The piece comes with a distinctive circular aperture mount, creating a unique frame for this simple nature-inspired artwork.
